1. Appearance:white or white-like fibre or granule powder.
2. Granularity:pass rate is more than 98% for 100 meshes and 100% for 80 meshes。
3. Apparent density:0.25～0.70 g/cm3 ( about 0.5 g/cm3 in general),density1.22～1.31g/cm3。
4. Solubility:it can dissolve in water and parts of organic solvents.
5. Gel point will rise when methoxyl conten reduces.
6. HPMC has thickening ability, water reservation, dispersion resistance ,etc.
Use and functions:
HPMC is good non-ionic mixture fibre aether, and has good dispersion, thickening, water reservation and others. It can be widely used in food industry, pharmaceutical industry, architecture construction, industry, electron, leather, paper making and others.
Solution method:
1. Get needed hot water according to different specification products.
2. Put 1/3 or 2/3 hot water to add into fibre while mixing.
3. HPMC has good solution, and is easy to dissolve in concrete, dye and other to get expected effect.
Packing, storage and cautions:
Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose is packed in paper plastic lined with polyethylene plastic bag or papaer drum. Net weight is 25kg. Airproof storage and transportation.Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose should be stored in dry conditions.
